In a place of 215 souls in Canada, a young man dies in a car accident (possibly self-inflicted). His mother and brother are numb with pain, while the winter town is haunted by eerie events: Unknown people stand in the fields, the dead seem to return. "Independent director Denis Coté, well-versed in observing marginal milieus, leads eeriness closely with mourning, in a loosely woven yet captivating ensemble plot. The odd, traumatic, supernatural: everything remains intimated; thus village life and death become a landscape of symptoms. Great movie." (Dr Robnik)
