Al Cook

It is hardly by chance that Al Cook is known as the "White King of Black Blues". The Viennese musician, born in 1945 - his debut album was released in 1970 - has been on stage for more than half a century. Al Cook is not only a master of his craft, he is also an anecdote-rich entertainer who, despite his faithful interpretation of the blues, also sees it as the primordial soup of rock'n'roll and not just as the lament of a broken old man.
