In Bhutan, the Buddhist kingdom in the Himalayas, the king comes up with the idea of making his people happy by giving them access to the internet and television and introducing democracy. The people are supposed to learn how an election campaign works, just as stupid Hollywood films and evil capitalists with their dollars are already descending on the country. The old, revered Lama has had enough. He tells a young monk to procure a legendary old rifle and announces a ceremony with it to restore peace and happiness in Bhutan. Undercomplex, yet not unsympathetically oddball road movie. (Michael Omasta)
