Henrik Ohsten

In 1755, former soldier Ludvig Kahlen seeks permission to reclaim the Danish moors and establish a settler colony. With potatoes in his luggage and his own meagre financial means, he sets to work, supported by a young pastor and a couple of farmers who had run away from their violent former master. His efforts incur the wrath of the unscrupulous aristocrat Frederik De Schinkel, who does everything in his power to thwart Kahlen's plans.
