Timothée Chalamet as a young Bob Dylan in New York in the 1960s. The protest song "Blowin' in the Wind" became his hated song of choice for the public, the electric guitar a symbol of freedom. Dylan rejected the political figurehead that everyone wanted to see in him. He was on a musical expedition, folk music was just a stopover. In the film, the increasingly unsympathetic loner's break with folk music (and his mentor Pete Seeger) reaches its climax at the Newport Folk Festival. Until then, "Like a Complete Unknown" does not maintain the initial momentum. The redundancy of the motifs, the reduction of the female figures to languorous glances, spoil the quite successful vocal interludes. (Martin Nguyen)
