While still an animator at Disney, Tim "Bat" Burton made a series of storyboards about the absurd happenings in Halloween Town: "Halloween was always the funniest night of the year for me, because all the rules are suspended and everyone can be someone else." It would take more than ten years to realize this unconventional animated film.
