Monsieur Tati's most elaborate cinematic work, filmed in the specially built "Tativille". Modern technology and its pitfalls - represented this time in the form of a Kafkaesque glass palace, into which it is almost impossible to enter unscathed. "Playtime" is constructed like a piece of music, a phenomenological and perfectionist symphony of the big city: a film for body and sound, practically without dialogue. Shot on 70mm.
