Shortbus, a fictional New York club where open-minded young people pass the time with music, underground films and, above all, sex, is the setting for "Shortbus": a bittersweet melo whose carefree hard-core scenes (terrific: a gay threesome singing the national anthem!) counter the puritanical America under George W. Bush with a thoroughly explicit utopia.
