A traumatized Israeli soldier wants to leave his identity behind and emigrates to Paris. Robbed of all his possessions, he almost freezes to death in an empty, unheated apartment. Emile and Carolin, the young couple from the neighbouring apartment, find him just in time. In sometimes slightly grotesquely exaggerated episodes, Lapid shows the young exile's desperate attempts to build a new life as a Frenchman.
