A crossover between neo-realism and Kubrick's "The Shining": Helena, a housewife from São Paulo, sets up her own business and opens a grocery store. Soon there are increasing signs of impending doom, sewage full of worms oozes out of the floor and food starts to bleed. "In addition to these mysterious traces that haunt her store and point to a terrible disaster, she finally finds a gruesome secret behind a wall that could be responsible for all her problems. "an early contribution to the young Brazilian horror film". (Martin Schlesinger)
