After a traumatic experience, the dubbing artist Inés meets the organ player Alberto. But a diffuse uneasiness lies over things, something lurks in the shadows: In a slow breakdown, Inés seems to lose touch with reality. Disguised as a horror thriller, "El prófugo" moves in a grey area between macho assault and feminist liberation.
