The vacation in a luxury resort in Acapulco comes to an abrupt end for Neil (Tim Roth) and his sister Alice (Charlotte Gainsbourg). She flies home with the children, he takes up quarters in a cheap boarding house. "Mexican director Michel Franco is known for his relentless social criticism. In his previous film, 'New Order,' he had rebels blow up a wedding of the super-rich and turn Mexico City into a dystopia. The current 'Sundown' is far less explosive.
