Ella has an uncle who is her best friend. He believes in her soccer talent and loves monsters and singing karaoke just as much as she does. But then Steve, Tomy's new boyfriend, arrives. When Tomy considers proposing to him, Ella tries everything to prevent it: she smuggles two rats into Tomy's apartment and deliberately gives Steve a terrible haircut. Christian Lo's film introduces queer worlds without having to comment on them. This is what makes the Swedish comedy with its sometimes very quirky characters so likeable. (Sara Schausberger)
