For a smart art thief named Nemo (Willem Dafoe), a hypermodern luxury suite becomes a glass prison. "'Inside' is a one-man survival show, but it also wants to be a contemplation of the un/essence of art today (as merely museumized or fit solely to be an investment object). We watch the unsuccessful heister: how he trades water and food scarcity; in drinking, smacking, shitting, ships; how he becomes neglected and insane; smashes and misappropriates design interiors and artworks in order to break out. And despite Defoe's power performance, the only 100 minutes anyway turn out like an equally long museum visit: zach." (David Auer)
