Young, ambitious manager Beate Winter is on the road in the Balkans for multinational corporation Europa, ostensibly to promote philanthropy, structural development and investment in underdeveloped regions. In a remote valley in southern Albania, she is trying to buy land from the few remaining locals for an initially unclear agenda. But she encounters resistance from the small, traditional community of self-sufficient farmers, especially from the headstrong and deeply spiritual Jetnor.
